If I powerecycle the Roku it fixes it for a while but it's only a matter of time before it starts again. The only thing I use my tv for is the roku. I tried about everything I could think of and finally replaced the cable and the sound started playing again. This has been behavior that I've seen a few times before, but only just now tried to reproduce. Several sets of them, in fact. Thank you to the Roku development team for making that difficult choice. We rokuactivationhelp disclaim any ownership, right, connections or endorsement of or by any such third party products.
When I took the fire stick out of the system and rebooted the Roku, it was no longer blocked. Furthermore you can call us at our toll free number 1800-922-2038 for easy fixture and we will fix this hdcp unauthorized content disabled error for you. The easiest solution I've found is to switch the tv channel to another hdmi port and then back. Thanks in Advance I bought a Premiere+ and was having the same issues as described above. If none of the above solutions work contact. There are going back to March 2013.
But, there are a few error codes in Roku that you will have to troubleshoot to keep enjoying the Roku experience. Particularly with the Ultra cables have unusual effects. How long have you had your set? Sometimes the issue corrected itself after a few seconds, sometimes it didn't. It will boggle your mind, so there is no other streaming device that is even closer to Roku. As I said the Ultra has excessive sensitivity to some things and it seem that cabling is one of the things that it is sensitive to. Can't seem to stream anything from there without that purple screen.
This does help for a while but then the hdcp error comes up again and again, and it's a pain to have to restart the roku each time this happens. How do I know if a new Roku Ultra will fix the problem if there are multiple existing bug reports highlighting this known issue? Regardless of its common occurrence on Roku, people still are not aware as to why this issue occurs in the first place, let alone fixing it. I will say that qualitatively the 4k picture looks slightly more crisp when I'm using the Mediabridge Ultra cable, but that's probably because it's only 3 feet long. It happened more often after heavy usage, I think after the roku got warmer. Before we get down to troubleshoot this issue, let us first learn what this is and why it is so important. Just imagine the number of hours of content Roku currently has. I've seen this problem maybe twice since I bought my Premiere+ and saw it many times on my Roku 3 over the 4 years since I bought it, though only occasionally.
Powercycling the Roku player fixes it for a day or two but then it starts happening again. Let us know if we can help. But because the video was already playing, the purple screen does not clear and stays unauthorized forever. Is it the Roku or our Samsung tvs, as we all seem to have the same model? The Ultra has flaws and one of the flaws seems to excessive sensitivity to cables and the connections. Constant issues for me with the Amazon app. It did not go away, but I only occurred very rarely 2 days have gone by without an error whereas the Vizeo cable caused the hdcp error to occur every few hours.
. The fire stick will work with Roku plugged in, but not vice versa. Had to restart nearly every other day. Different videos on different apps. I tried other ports and it would work and then I would get the error again.
I'm not absolutely sure though. It was the return button on Amazon then using the refund money to buy a chromecast ultra. Takes about 20 seconds more. So sounds like it is a Roku problem. I might try some new cables next time with better construction and probably switch to a shorter length I am using a 6' right now to see if this reduces the black screen glitches and hdcp error occurance. We will help you with a solution for hdcp unauthorized content disabled error.
I've had my Ultra for over two months and this never happened to my Ultra until the downgrade yesterday. My Roku Ultra just updated to V7. Currently, there are two models that are being sold by Roku, which are; Roku Express and Roku Streaming Stick+. Putting what 3 separate cables used to do into one was a huge undertaking, and unfortunately it was not a great success. You guys really need to get this under control. This not just enhances the viewing experience but also prevents piracy.
Please ensure that you push them in firmly, all the way in. And Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and happy whatever you happen to be celebrating to everyone! Well, all seemed to work well. You should feel embarrassed by your post above. If I turn off my television with any streaming source playing back any video at any resolution, when I turn the television back on I see the purple screen until I exit the video stream and then re-enter it. So what I think might be happening is that the new 4K information is much more difficult to transmit through the hdmi cable and there are instances where if the cable is poorly constructed it my cause a loss or error of information being sent, causing the hdcp error to occur.
