I thought that is what trucks are for. I have always burned excessive oil in my truck. . They blame it on my heavy trailering and four wheeling. Reliable Chevrolet in Richardson Texas took a look at it and couldn't find an oil leak, engine still clean as a whistle.

Nearly all automobile parts, when allowed to stay in their broken or impaired state, can cause even more harm to related or nearby components. Then when i found all of these other complaints on the internet, I realized they were just yanking my chain. I understand that these algorithms programs are fairly sophisticated and do a pretty good job at monitoring what is going on in the engine. There is not a single drop of oil on the garage floor,, which means this great looking and other wise good piece of junk is burning oil at an astonishing rate. You'll get slightly better mileage, too.
Thin oil will result in lower oil pressure and at the temp they run sooner or later oil pump will loose its draw resulting a spun bearing. They state they have a bulletin regarding this problem but it is not a recall. I have never tried synthetic in any vehicle I have owned, is it true, once you have run it through your motor you should not go back to conventional? They have treated me unfairly and took a lot of my money. So if trying to prolong the life of the engine by changing the type of oil you put in, forget doing it. Next time I'll buy a Ford or Toyota.
We have this information and we give it to you for free. I am not really interested in synthetic oil right now due to cost. First they installed longer intake manifold bolts, that fixed nothing. Who know if any of the engineers talk to each other. I called the dealer about this at about 20,000 miles and they said 1 quart in 3,000 miles was normal oil consumption. I didn't know they could mix. The first number is how the oil acts when cold. I hung a 180 thermostat in to cool down the motor which intern lessens expansion of the metals. If you fill engine or axles of your car with oil to the brim it may damage your vehicle engine or axles and void manufacturer warranty. The old junk stored will be carried away in the oil throughout your engine until it fills your filter.
I've never really left Texas except for the time I was deployed to Iraq but I can imagine that winters in Canada are extremely cold! Aside from its 99 percent. Anybody one have any advise.
